Garlic Bread

So there are lots of kinds of Garlic Bread but tonight I want some faintly reminiscent of Mama Mias, soft and rich with butter and who knows what so if anyone has the recipe. Bring it on!

I think I will try this one
At least 1 stick of softened BUTTER..maybe a bit more
Chop up 2/3 cup fresh parsley
1/2 teaspoon of paprika for some color - Makes a big difference in the final appearance
Chop up a good half head of fresh garlic (I use a mincer)

Mix the parsley, the garlic, paparika and fresh grated black pepper into a paste with the butter

Coat the loaf bread on both sides liberally with the softened butter paste mixture

Coat the outside of the loaf with a thin film of olive oil and place the loaf in a foil wrap

Into the oven for 15 minutes at 325 to melt everything....turn the loaf over once during the process

Open up the foil and put the bread back in the oven until it gets a slightly toasted appearance

Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese just before serving

Always cut it on bias..Looks much better

Roasted Garlic Bread -

1 loaf of french bread
1 bulb of garlic
6 TBSP of butter
2 – 3 TBSP of olive oil
kosher salt and fresh cracked pepper (to taste, optional)
dried herbs – I used parsley (optional)
Parmesan and Pecorino Romano cheeses

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Cut the bulb of garlic in half and place it on a square of foil, large enough that you can make a little package for roasting. Place the cut garlic into the center of the foil and drizzle with a little olive oil. Close the package up and roast for 30 to 35 minutes or until golden brown. Set aside.

2. Squeeze the cloves into a small bowl to smash up with the butter, olive oil and seasonings. Blend well and set aside. Cut your french bread in half and then take the two halves and split those down the middle lengthwise. Spread the butter mixture generously over each piece. Place your bread on a foil-lined baking sheet and bake for 7 minutes – take the bread out and sprinkle your grated cheese over top each piece. Place back in the oven until the cheese melts and is nicely browned – about 3-5 minutes. Cut into slices and enjoy!

Black Angus Copycat recipe...........this is DELISH!!!

1 loaf French bread
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 cup shredded asiago cheese, you could try parmesan
1 cup shredded monterey jack cheese
1 cup mayonnaise
1 bunch green onions, chopped
2 garlic cloves, pureed

Split French bread loaf into halves horizontally.

Mix butter, cheeses, mayonnaise, green onions and garlic in bowl, blending well.

Spread the cut side of bread halves with spread.

Bake at 350 degrees for 7 minutes, and place under broiler about 3 minutes longer.

Cut into slices and serve.

1 full head garlic
1 stick of butter
1 heavy pinch coarse kosher salt
1/2 tsp paprika
1/4 tsp fresh ground pepper
olive oil
1 loaf french bread
pinch of coarse sugar

Cut top of a full head of garlic so all cloves are exposed at there ends. Place in a ramekin cut side up. Pour some olive oil on top. Sprinkle with a little coarse sugar. Cover with foil and bake for 40 minutes. Remove cover after 40 minutes and cook until light brown.

Then cool to room temp. Squeeze out cooked cloves into a medium bowl. They will slide out of the head. Mash with a fork. Add room temperature butter, paprika, pepper and the pinch of salt and mix.

Slice french loaf in 3/4 inch slices and butter 1 side lightly with the garlic butter. Set under broiler until toasted. Watch close as not to burn..

What You'll Need:

1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, softened
1 garlic clove, minced
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
1 (16-ounce) loaf Italian bread, cut in half lengthwise
1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese
Use Real Wisconsin Cheese in this Dish

What To Do:

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.

In a small bowl, combine butter, garlic, and parsley; mix well. Spread over cut sides of Italian bread then sprinkle with cheese. Place bread halves back together and wrap loaf tightly in aluminum foil.

Bake 15 to 20 minutes, or until heated through and bread is crusty. Remove foil, slice, and serve.

Ingredients:

2 thick slices of bread
1 Tablespoon trans fat-free margarine or softened butter
1 Tablespoon olive oil
1 small clove of garlic, crushed
1/8 teaspoon salt
pepper to taste
1 Tablespoon parmesan
Instructions:

Leave oven rack in middle. Preheat broiler.
On a small plate using a fork, mash together the margarine or butter, oil, garlic, salt, and pepper.
Spread onto bread slices with a knife.
Top with parmesan.
Place on a foil-lined sheet or a disposable foil baking sheet.
Broil for about 5 minutes. Watch carefully to avoid burning.

Roast bacon

Total Time: 17 min
Prep: 2 min
Cook: 15-20 min
Yield:2 to 4 servings


Ingredients
8 to 10 slices Apple wood centre cut smoked bacon or butcher bacon

Directions Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.

Lay the bacon a sheet pan lined with foil, cover with more foil, and bake for 15 to 20 minutes until the bacon is really crispy. Dry on paper towels and serve.

Bacon Wrapped Scallops

One of my favorites is Bacon Wrapped Scallops or Shrimp so I am dying to try these now but I already have dinner cooking and its not scallops. I have a nice little steak, mushrooms and some leftover scalloped potatoes. I am also trying a new frozen vegetable combo with corn and black beans, Dessert is cheesecake.

"Actually you only need a few ingredients to make these delicious grilled scallops, however I have a little secret sauce to pour over them after they are done. Not a dieters dream but hey you have to indulge just once in a blue moon. Save these  for a special occasion, they taste gourmet in the end! The taste if your a scallop lover are divine. They are one of my favorites the bacon and the sauce recipe are perfect together! Hope you enjoy them too!"


Extra large Scallops
Maple Flavored Smoked Bacon
Garlic powder
Cayenne pepper
Juice of a half a lemon no seeds

Chili Powder
Butter
Aluminum Foil
Cooking Spray

 Partially cook the bacon until starting to brown in a fry pan or microwave. Lay out the tin foil and spray it with cooking spray. Place a few scallops on the foil and wrap them with bacon or just add it in small pieces.  Sprinkle with garlic powder, cayenne if you like a little heat Squeeze the lemon of the top. You can now bake these or throw them package on the grill. Baking at 425 for around 15 minutes, then if the bacon isn't crisp enough broil for a few minutes until bacon crisps up. On the grill for around 20 minutes on high and check at 15 minutes.

Butter Sauce:
In the meantime melt 1 stick of butter with 1teaspoon of chili powder and 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder.

After the scallops are cooked brush with butter sauce or dip them in the sauce.

4 Ingredient Biscuits

7 UP BISCUITS

INGREDIENTS:
4 cups Bisquick
1 cup sour cream
1 cup 7-up
1/2 cup melted butter

DIRECTIONS:
Mix Bisquick, sour cream and 7 up.

Dough will be very soft - don't worry

Knead and fold dough until coated with your baking mix.

Pat dough out and cut biscuits using a round biscuit / cookie cutter.

Melt butter in bottom of cookie sheet pan or 9x13 casserole dish.

Place biscuits on top of melted butter and bake @ 425 degrees for 12-15 minutes or until brown
