Garlic Bread
So there are lots of kinds of Garlic Bread but tonight I want some faintly reminiscent of Mama Mias, soft and rich with butter and who knows what so if anyone has the recipe. Bring it on!
I think I will try this one
At least 1 stick of softened BUTTER..maybe a bit more
Chop up 2/3 cup fresh parsley
1/2 teaspoon of paprika for some color - Makes a big difference in the final appearance
Chop up a good half head of fresh garlic (I use a mincer)
Mix the parsley, the garlic, paparika and fresh grated black pepper into a paste with the butter
Coat the loaf bread on both sides liberally with the softened butter paste mixture
Coat the outside of the loaf with a thin film of olive oil and place the loaf in a foil wrap
Into the oven for 15 minutes at 325 to melt everything....turn the loaf over once during the process
Open up the foil and put the bread back in the oven until it gets a slightly toasted appearance
Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese just before serving
Always cut it on bias..Looks much better

Roasted Garlic Bread -
1 loaf of french bread
1 bulb of garlic
6 TBSP of butter
2 – 3 TBSP of olive oil
kosher salt and fresh cracked pepper (to taste, optional)
dried herbs – I used parsley (optional)
Parmesan and Pecorino Romano cheeses
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Cut the bulb of garlic in half and place it on a square of foil, large enough that you can make a little package for roasting. Place the cut garlic into the center of the foil and drizzle with a little olive oil. Close the package up and roast for 30 to 35 minutes or until golden brown. Set aside.
2. Squeeze the cloves into a small bowl to smash up with the butter, olive oil and seasonings. Blend well and set aside. Cut your french bread in half and then take the two halves and split those down the middle lengthwise. Spread the butter mixture generously over each piece. Place your bread on a foil-lined baking sheet and bake for 7 minutes – take the bread out and sprinkle your grated cheese over top each piece. Place back in the oven until the cheese melts and is nicely browned – about 3-5 minutes. Cut into slices and enjoy!

1 loaf French bread
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 cup shredded asiago cheese, you could try parmesan
1 cup shredded monterey jack cheese
1 cup mayonnaise
1 bunch green onions, chopped
2 garlic cloves, pureed
Split French bread loaf into halves horizontally.
Mix butter, cheeses, mayonnaise, green onions and garlic in bowl, blending well.
Spread the cut side of bread halves with spread.
Bake at 350 degrees for 7 minutes, and place under broiler about 3 minutes longer.
Cut into slices and serve.

1 full head garlic
1 stick of butter
1 heavy pinch coarse kosher salt
1/2 tsp paprika
1/4 tsp fresh ground pepper
olive oil
1 loaf french bread
pinch of coarse sugar
Cut top of a full head of garlic so all cloves are exposed at there ends. Place in a ramekin cut side up. Pour some olive oil on top. Sprinkle with a little coarse sugar. Cover with foil and bake for 40 minutes. Remove cover after 40 minutes and cook until light brown.
Then cool to room temp. Squeeze out cooked cloves into a medium bowl. They will slide out of the head. Mash with a fork. Add room temperature butter, paprika, pepper and the pinch of salt and mix.
Slice french loaf in 3/4 inch slices and butter 1 side lightly with the garlic butter. Set under broiler until toasted. Watch close as not to burn..

What You'll Need:
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, softened
1 garlic clove, minced
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
1 (16-ounce) loaf Italian bread, cut in half lengthwise
1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese
Use Real Wisconsin Cheese in this Dish
What To Do:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
In a small bowl, combine butter, garlic, and parsley; mix well. Spread over cut sides of Italian bread then sprinkle with cheese. Place bread halves back together and wrap loaf tightly in aluminum foil.
Bake 15 to 20 minutes, or until heated through and bread is crusty. Remove foil, slice, and serve.

Ingredients:
2 thick slices of bread
1 Tablespoon trans fat-free margarine or softened butter
1 Tablespoon olive oil
1 small clove of garlic, crushed
1/8 teaspoon salt
pepper to taste
1 Tablespoon parmesan
Instructions:
Leave oven rack in middle. Preheat broiler.
On a small plate using a fork, mash together the margarine or butter, oil, garlic, salt, and pepper.
Spread onto bread slices with a knife.
Top with parmesan.
Place on a foil-lined sheet or a disposable foil baking sheet.
Broil for about 5 minutes. Watch carefully to avoid burning.
